These 6 Youtubers topped my favourite Youtubers of 2016 list.
1.How Jen Does it
Youtuber Jen has to be the only person that has been able to turn my kitchen cupboards from drab to absolutely fabulous. As the saying goes, ‘A man’s house is his castle’, well, in my case ‘A woman’s flat is her castle’ and this year, my ultimate aim was to make my small flat a clean and well-organised environment. Her engaging and practical cleaning tips will inspire you to divide your home into cleaning zones and breathe the breath of life into that manky grease infested oven.
2. Lizzie Loves
Within a year, Lizzie has amassed over 80,00 subscribers to her channel. Her resilience, drive and motivation to excel whilst juggling her Sociology degree at the well known London School of Economics (LSE) got me hooked. From DIY to beauty hacks to lifestyle videos, Lizzie has captivated a wide audience of young women with her empowering messages of self-love, being career minded and following your dreams.
3. Isaiah Hankel
I love his infectious opening line ‘…you’re here for the hard truth, and I’m here to give it you’. His ballsy, frank and motivational videos will always leave you equipped with the vital knowledge you need to overcome toxic relationships, low self-esteem and procrastination.
4. Terri Savelle Foy
If you haven’t already created your dream board for 2017, then Terri’s uplifting and empowering messages behind her book ‘Dream it, Pin it, Live it’ will get you rummaging through magazines and cutting out pictures. I love the way that she is able to retell the rags to riches style stories of high achievers, key thinkers and celebrities. Her sweet chirpy voice is also quite endearing and you will not be disappointed with her pod casts.
5. Simi All smiles
There is something quite comforting and relatable about vlogs created by fellow black brits residing in the inner London area. I love her funny, energetic and at times musical snippets of her life at church, family parties, events and shopping trips.
6. Dis Kind God
So, i’m fully aware of the fact that not every music video or lyric video that is uploaded on to Youtube is done so by the original creators. The video by Evangelist Chuks Chidube is just one of those videos that has been uploaded by a zillion other account holders under so many names! The highly infectious and uptempo beat will keep you on your feet praising God. I start off my mornings playing this music video and I can assure you that it has the power to bind and cast away those demons of depression and the early morning blues!
