There are times when we don’t want to get up, when our comfort zone almost feels like the most safest and securest place to be. You may be feeling drained and fatigued by the misfortunes of life: the prayer that has yet to be answered, the hope that faded and birthed a new disappointment. You feel like a tree that has been planted in the desert and has not yielded one fruit. There are seasons in our lives that can feel like the longest winter ever, and, the worse thing is when we are alone with no one to help us.
“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you” – Isaiah 60:1-2 (NKJV)
Dear friend, today no matter where you are in life, give yourself the right to be lifted. To be uplifted doesn’t always require the support of another person. At times, its in the absence of others that we find the tools, skills and strength to arise and shine. Today, will you hearken to the call from your heavenly father to shine? Remember, it takes the darkest and most bleakest moments in our lives for stars to shine the brightest.
